It's hard for me to write, right now, because I'm not sure what this emotion inside me is.
Could it be some sort of elation? Could it be I'm just going crazy? No.... why I'm light-headed and now...... yes, Now I know WHY..... This is what it must feel like to breathe again.
Deep soul cleansing breaths. I suck them down, laughing and crying and dancing and shouting in the street. I'm alive again, I'm alive again, I'm ALIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This morning I found this solitary rose blooming on an almost leafless bush outside the gate.

I'm actually proud again to be American. It's not going to be easy and that sentiment has been expressed by many, BUT at least we're on a healing path now. A long road ahead is how President Obama put it, but in my mind... it looks
a lot like the one below.
I'm looking forward to traveling it with him. No tempting fields of poppies, no
screeching monkeys in the sky. A peaceful rewarding journey, that will require some sacrifice, but offer a great reward. Kindness and trust and respect....... we're coming for ya!!!!
