Shining Moments

Lately I've been feeling a little under-stimulated. I actually started to get depressed thinking I really was just one of those poorly educated locals who waste every day one day at a time with no actual goals or purpose. Living my life uninspired and worse uninspiring. Just like many of you, I considered my life thus far had been built out of blocks of "individual moments". Memories and events I could look back on and say, "That is what made me who I am today"!! Wrong, I am who I am today because of who I was when I felt like nothing. It's surviving our every day humdrum existence that makes us who we are, but not by just surviving it, by making it the best humdrum, chaotic, stressful existence possible. We all choose to look back on those moments in our lives when we were happiest. Doing things and going places ultimately defined us as successful. What you need to look back on from time to time are those moments when your world was dark..... when fate had delivered you almost unbearable pain. Then try to remember how you survived that time. What you'll see is that these moments, although usually repressed, are your shining moments!! You got through it, but was it with the help of family and friends, or was it with the help of a higher being? Or, was it because of your own inner strength? We're all survivors, and granted we don't always recover on our own, but we do possess the ability to do so. So, just in case any of you were thinking your life was stressing you out and your goals or your direction didn't seem so exciting..... maybe this is one of YOUR shining moments. Take today and make sure it's memorable.

You nailed it on the head!

You should know that you have an effect on people that makes each person you meet actually THINK or feel about what they are doing or being (even if it's on a subconscious level), and that's such a wonderful thing! Even if you wanted to, you can't control it, because it's who you are at your core being. No amount of formal education can achieve this effect. It's something that grows when it is nurtured for all the right reasons, and perhaps is so strong because some of those dark moments in the past really were so dark.

I, for one, am thankful every day that you and I are intertwined on many dimensions, and that our relationship is constantly evolving. And when I see the effects you have on others, it makes me laugh and smile!

When blogs first came out, I resisted, because it seemed odd that people would want to post things that may seem personal or perhaps boring and put them out there for the whole world to see. However, I was wrong. It is an inspirational forum that has a pulse of its own. The stories and insights that you share have far-reaching tentacles, in a good way!

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you! xo
