My Beating Heart!!

It's hard for me to write, right now, because I'm not sure what this emotion inside me is. Could it be some sort of elation? Could it be I'm just going crazy? No.... why I'm light-headed and now...... yes, Now I know WHY..... This is what it must feel like to breathe again. Deep soul cleansing breaths. I suck them down, laughing and crying and dancing and shouting in the street. I'm alive again, I'm alive again, I'm ALIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!! Thank you America, thank you to anyone who made the right decision. Your vote for Obama has torn away the hand that's been clasped around my throat for the last eight years, choking the life slowly from my body with determined precision. No longer do I feel each beat of my heart grow weaker than the last. I AM ALIVE!!!!! This morning I found this solitary rose blooming on an almost leafless bush outside the gate. Oh Hell, Everything I see and experience today that's good at all, will be because Obama Won. I'm pretty sure that will hold true for at least the next 4 yrs. and just to placate you naysayers..... here's the bush it was on. The pic wasn't an old one. I can't even begin to explain the joy I'm experiencing right now. Barack Hussein Obama is our next President. Say Goodbye to the village IDIOT!!!!! YAY!!!! HOORAY!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!! SEE YA, DUMB ASS!!! Back to Texass where you belong. Oh Wait... you'll have to move to a foreign country now to avoid being tried for WAR CRIMES!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA........ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I hope they HANG YOU, like your Buddy Saddam!!!! Back to the Obama Bloom!!! I'm actually proud again to be American. It's not going to be easy and that sentiment has been expressed by many, BUT at least we're on a healing path now. A long road ahead is how President Obama put it, but in my mind... it looks a lot like the one below. I'm looking forward to traveling it with him. No tempting fields of poppies, no screeching monkeys in the sky. A peaceful rewarding journey, that will require some sacrifice, but offer a great reward. Kindness and trust and respect....... we're coming for ya!!!! Peace to Everyone..... and thank you again, from my beating heart!!! (War Criminals Excluded)

It was a Simple Decision

Election day is almost upon us. Will we suffer at the hands of the wealthy Republicans another 4 years or will justice finally prevail in the White House. It sickens and saddens me to know anyone actually supports McCain and that cow he chose for VP. Haven't we as a nation suffered enough at the hands of G. W. .... I don't even want to type his name. Christians are worried the Dems will remove their precious "god" from schools and money. Who cares? If they were truly spiritual then nobody could EVER take their god away from them. Then there's all the other preposterous reasons for being afraid of Democrats. They'll raise taxes, they'll give all our money to the poor, and worst of all they'll make it ok for FAGS to get married. Let me get this "straight" (sorry for the pun) right now. I don't support Gay Marriage. Why in the hell would I EVER want to be like most of the married people I know????? Plus, traditional "marriage" takes place in a church and that's the absolute LAST place I ever want to share my vows of commitment. Now, Equal Rights, legally married, that's different. Just like married couples who get tax breaks and cheaper insurance or Insurance at all, for that matter.... Gay couples should also qualify for these rights. Oh but wait.... if they allow fags to marry the next thing you know people will want to marry their dogs. I would love to meet the asshole that said that!! More importantly, AND more personally, should I be hospitalized and near death, I pity the person or family member that would stand in Steves way of being with me. I pity them, because I would recover just to kick their ass..... over and over and over. God-Damn-It..... Yes, that topic pisses off, but after tomorrow, YES after tomorrow.... we'll be on a new path. For the last 8 years we have endured the most oppressive government and sorry excuse for a president this country has EVER had to suffer. America has fallen into a deep depression and it will take Huge Change to overcome what the Republican Party has done to destroy our Pride and invade our privacy. I don't care about your god, or your guns, or your racist issues. The time has come for this country to move forward. Old school and old party issues are a thing of the past. I said it was a simple decision. It was really. I was never a supporter of the Iraq war. We went after Bin Laden and he wasn't in Iraq. Billions and billions of American dollars have been spent by Him So, when I went to vote, it was a simple decision............ to bring our troops home. McCain wasn't going to do that. At least there's a chance that Obama might try. I don't know what to say anymore when I run into McCain or Idiot supporters. I just shake my head in disbelief. I thought it was a given that Obama was the ONLY option.

Obama National Airport

I voted for a Black Man for president. That's right.... I said a BLACK MAN..... for PRESIDENT!!!! YAY!! Not that I even cared if Obama was black or white...... He's not a republican and that's all that really mattered. Everyday, we Americans accept the choices allowed us by Wal-Mart, so choosing someone for President shouldn't be much different right. Just like shopping at Wal-Mart.... It's not really what you were looking for, but now you have several new options to choose from, so decide. Lets face it.... in eight or even four years.... it won't matter who we picked because we'll hate them anyhow. We're a disposable society. At least with Obama for president we won't have to hear the word Maverick every ten freaking minutes.... Did I say Maverick.... what a maverick.... I wish someone would put her on a maverick (an unbranded range animal like a motherless calf) and send her maverick ass back to Alaska. AND.... in case you don't click the link...... here's the list of synonyms for the word maverick...
stray, bohemian, dissenter, extremist, malcontent, nonconformist, radical
I digress... I wholeheartedly intended to make this posting about change. I know, I too am just as tired of hearing the word Change. Do any of those campaign staffers know about http://www.thesaurus.com/ ? Change however, is what I'm all about these days. I'm going through a weird transition concerning my opinion of my family. I've always made the joke about being inbred, but so does everyone from St Marys County, MD. Well I've been analyzing some of my closest relatives and their behavior lately and have come to the conclusion that there might actually be some mental illness scattered about....LOL Sorry for laughing, but as soon as I finished typing that I swear I felt the grapevine shake violently. The grapevine being the most commonly used form of communication for those family members who didn't desert and move away. I digress again.... damn-it! I'll go into more detail about the craziness factor another time. Today I want to share with you the elation I'm experiencing after casting my vote last friday. I walked out of that court house knowing I had overcome the most tragic part of my life. I had voted for a Black Man for president. Not only had I overcome those deep ancestrally rooted racist fears but I truthfully felt that every single American, when staring at their own ballot would succumb to the same realization that it was time.... Time for that change. Time to let it go... embrace our country for what it was intended. A country where all men and women are equal.
-- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
That was the last line of the Gettysburg Address by Abe Lincoln. We as a nation have suffered the fools long enough. It truly is time for Change. My first order of business after Barack Hussein Obama is sworn into office, is to petition to have Reagan National Airport renamed...... Obama National Airport and send our OWN video to those cave dwelling, goat eating, stinky ass, bomb carrying, so-called terrorists, telling them to Bring It On..... if you think you can. I hate flying out of Wash DC, but to do so from an airport called Obama (O Bomb A) National Airport... I'd make the drive. Stick that in your turban Bin Laden.... if you aren't dead already. I guess I shouldn't be too hard on him and his band of rowdy rebels. After all, we knew they were coming, well WE didn't know, but the idiot in DC did. Zeitgeist..... buy it.... WATCH IT!!!! AND VOTE!!!!!

My scary future....

I was totally out of my mind this morning and went into the bathroom with a full head of hair only to return downstairs a balding 44 yr old. I cut my hair and shaved the top of my head to resemble a middle aged man who was completely bald on top. Not knowing what it would look like.... I actually like it!!! I'm sure it's my imagination, but I did get some stares when I went out to the Laundromat. Of course that could have been because I was with Miriam and we were cutting up the whole time. I'm feeling pretty good about being an old bald guy.... it don't look so bad!! So now I guess for Halloween I can just pick any relative and go as them.... LOL Of course in a few days when it all grows back.... I'm sure poeple will wonder..."What the Hell".. I always say... "Keep 'em Guessing"!

BFF Rules

How BFF's really work:

1. When you are sad, I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you that way.

2. When you are blue, I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile, I will know that you FINALLY got laid.

4. When you are scared, I will rag on you every chance I get and try to scare you more.

5. When you are worried, I will tell you horrible stories about much worse it could be until you quit whining.

6. When you are confused, I will use little words, sarcastically.

7. When you are sick, stay the hell away from me until you are well again you nasty germ carrier.

8. When you fall, I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.

9. When your relationship with the child you call BF/GF ends (surprise!), I will stop writing "Buy Milk and Cookies" on your grocery list.

10. When you pick up a skank trick at the bar, I will make fun of you afterwards, and for the rest of your freakin' life!

madness and sadness

The past two weeks have been full of all that makes life wonderful and sometimes not. It started with Moby coming home with a big ole infected injury. Her leg was swollen and oozing and needed not only our attention, but observation. Since she has a tendency to wander away days at a time, we brought all the cats in and locked the cat doors. We also had to take the other three cats to the vet that friday, so having them all indoors would make it easier to catch them. A whole week we got to listen to all 4 cats meowing and screeching at us to let them out. Mobys leg healed pretty quick considering she would immediately lick off any meds I put on her. She couldn't get rid of the ammoxicillan I made her swallow and I'm guessing that's what fixed her. We also had Roux scheduled for her spay. Poor girlie... I swear she was too young, but the vet didn't, so last thursday she got dropped off and .... well..... it's done. She came home very unhappy and not at all interested in seeing anyone or anything..... Dash included. All she wanted to do was lay around and moan. All night and all day she would just lay there and moan. Most of that time she would be in my arms or just laying beside me. I couldn't help it... she's a little girl. None of the other dogs we've ever had were girls. They all got over it and toughed it out... Roux on the other hand, totally worked it to her advantage. For future reference..... female dogs require more stitches than males do. There's more swelling, and more redness and generally MORE of everything. Poor Roux!! She got her stitches removed today... a week after her surgery. Healing great and pretty much already over any discomfort. She's a remarkable dog. Steve left this past monday for Heidelberg Germany and he'll be back tomorrow. I forgot what it was like to be here all alone.... it's been awhile since he went out of town and bottom line..... I STILL don't like it. Eating cereal all week and walking the dogs and nobody to share my daily adventures with each evening. Actually, this past week was fine. With cell phones and email it's almost impossible to not be in touch on a daily basis. Well we could if we wanted to..... NOT. I had a small burst of realization take place earlier this week too. A secret source relayed to me some very interesting information concerning my family.... quite unknowingly too. This eye opening info sort of relates to the above photo. I guess you'll have to wait for the book to see what we discovered. It's funny how almost always the truth is so obvious if we take a step back and view the drama from a different perspective. There of course is always a certain amount of sadness associated with the truth and I'm guessing that's why so many of my family refuse to see it. Oh well. What isn't hereditary can still destroy us with dysfunctional values. My family has become a hall of mirrors with similarities not only in physical likeness, but more disturbingly, behaviorally. I want to be my own person. I want to gain my footing before the Hierarchy of Oppression that we call a family tree comes crashing down. Already it's begun... the struggle for dominance. Cain killed Abel for family power.... I guess my family could have learned their lessons from the bible. It would be easier for most of my [current] siblings if they could just see the obvious. I shake my head and sigh sadly, because I'm not telling them. They have to see it on their own.... nobody can show them. I believe they'll probably just have to read it, but then it'll be too late.

A Little Treat

First, I'd like to say I have No Clue why this blog is all bunched up.
I have checked my photos.... I've checked text placement..... I've
deleted and reposted twice just in case there was some sort of glitch.
I'm going to place blame directly on the Blogger Staff in hopes that
one of them read it and promptly tell me what I did wrong. I'm just
about ready to delete this account anyhow. I've been using another
blog site and it's much easier and has more features. So for whatever
it's worth, I apologize for the jumbled text on this post.
Enjoy!!
Moving right along on his latest project, Steve has almost completed our most recent attempt to scare the hell out of the Harpers Ferry Ghost Tours. With only one more piece to attach, the air compressor purchased and on stand by in the utility room, we're just about ready for HOURS of urine inducing fun. I say Urine inducing because on too many occasions to count we've scared the ghost tour only to hear them exclaim how they almost peed themselves. I can't wait!!!
Steve was so proud of his new gadget. So happy he even posed for me, Sarah Palin style. No Bear or Wolf hunting around here though, only the occasional lost touron. Here we have a gift from Roux. She decided, either Steve's wine would taste better with a rawhide soaking in it, or she wanted to soak her rawhide to make it taste better.... we're not sure. The rawhide AND the wine got tossed. She's started some pretty sneaky behavior. We're so used to being able to leave stuff on the coffee table and leave the room. NOT ANY MORE!!!! She's fast too.... I can get up.... leave the room and before I REMEMBER I left a glass or a plate or a remote or a pen..... Anything.... she has it and gone. Fast little demon, I swear. Well this time she dropped her chew in Steve's wine, and was very upset about it too. Oh Well. Fall is officially here as we're all aware, but now it is also in our home. I made the first Pumpkin Pie of the season. It was SO good. This is my first year experimenting with Gluten free crusts. Gluten free baking for that matter. I'd have to say... I'm getting pretty good. Soy flours bake too dark..... rice flours are almost too fine, but the brown rice flour and garbanzo bean four are terrific. I'm getting a little better with the mixtures and the additives... like xanthan gum and rennet. Eventually my goal is to make a gluten free doughnut.... I miss doughnuts. For now I can settle for Pumpkin Pie. Today while grocery shopping I wanted something sweet and ended up buying cottage cheese. I'm not sure who I've become. I don't consider this a flattering photo, but I took it when I received one of those STUPID e-mails that tells you to take your picture right now and post it. Well I didn't post it then..... I had to photo shop it first. It was a boring gray day.... LOL! We've almost gotten all our kitties Chipped. Moby is the last one, but right now she's recovering from a leg wound she got from fighting yet another stray cat. I really am over all the strays around here. Now there's another litter or two living across the street at one of the restaurants. Oh yes.... they're cute and all... until they all start pissing at your back door. Then they get older.... and they become possessed. This cute little fella.... I'm sure he was at one time in his life...... has gotten so bold he pushes his way through OUR cat doors into our home. Not Any More. Evil little pussy went for a ride this morning. On our way out we had to stop and take a picture of this political advert. It's freaking HUGE!!! Easily 15ft high. I didn't get a picture of the back side, but it has a HUGE "Bill of Rights" on it. What the hell.... isn't there some law about the size of these things? I wonder if he has a permit from the Chamber of Commerce. If you put a little business sign along the highway they can fine you without a permit. THIS monstrosity is just an eyesore and another sad, sad, in your face, example of what G W Bush has done to this country. His lack of leadership and poor example of what he "thoughted" was "leadersomeship", has trickled down to small town America. If there IS a god...... please save us in November. As bad as it might seem from time to time.... we always have loyal unquestionable love waiting for us. Dash and Roux sat quietly by as I was out walking the roadside taking pics of red white and blue ignorance. Signs such as this one should be removed and the candidate fined...... and That's just for using our flags colors. By using red white and blue they subliminally present themselves as patriotic. WHATEVER. Sadly, Mr Ashbaugh lost my vote simply because he left this crap in my town. Maybe Dash and Roux could have left him a little treat...... perhaps on our next walk.
